Company Profile

Huckestein Mechanical Services, Inc.
has been a respected name in the mechanical contracting industry since 1977 when James E. Huckestein, an active member of Steamfitters Local 449, started the business as a sheetmetal fabricator. Ten years later, with the addition of partner Jim Jennings, the company entered a phase of aggressive growth, adding full HVAC, plumbing, and piping installation and service to its portfolio. In 2003, Mssrs. Huckestein and Jennings sold the company to John Bouloubasis and Keith Staso.

On January 1, 2010, Messrs. Staso and Bouloubasis decided to pursue other interests, and sold the company to Wendy P. Staso. As a result, Huckestein is the largest woman-owned full service mechanical contractor in Western Pennsylvania. The change in ownership was carefully considered by the former owners, and was determined to be the optimum strategy to position the Company to face today’s economic challenges and work toward long term stability and increased opportunities for the future.

Commitment to the Future

As a demonstration of our commitment to our customers, our employees, and the tri-state region which we serve, in 2004 Huckestein built a $4 million facility in a Keystone Opportunity Zone in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Housing 12,000 square feet of office space and 22,000 square feet of sheetmetal fabrication and warehouse space, this fully equipped facility is home to a highly skilled workforce.
